Marguerite Myers Obituary, Death – It is with deep regret that we must share the news with our AFS family that Marguerite Myers did not make a full recovery from the heart attack that she sustained on March 8. We have all suffered a big loss at the news of her passing. We are relaying this information to you with a heavy feeling in our hearts, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Peter, her spouse, is a published author of novels, and some of his works include the following: “Marguerite went away on March 11 in a serene and peaceful manner, having had no pain in her final days.
These students come from all over the world to study at our institution. Volunteering with Marguerite was always an amazing and once-in-a-lifetime experience for me. I will never forget it. The love, care, and direction that she has given to people from all over the world, together with the guidance that she has given, has had a tremendous and lasting effect on these people. I hope you have a safe voyage, our lovely Marguerite.
She had a peaceful and comfortable passing. She was surrounded by affection from all of her friends and other loved ones, as well as from her family members and other loved ones. Already, the void that she has left in our lives is becoming heartbreakingly clear to both of us.” In addition to all of the other volunteer work that Marguerite has done for our organization, such as serving as an Orientation Presenter, Host Family Interviewer, Liaison, and Support Coordinator, she has also taken on the role of Host Mom for more than 14 different students.
