Ballard Shooting – The Ballard district in Seattle was the location of what appears to have been a robbery on Monday evening. According to the Seattle Police Department, one person was hurt and one suspect was slain during the incident. The investigation into the incident is presently ongoing by the authorities. About 4 o’clock in the afternoon, officers were sent to the 7700 block of 15th Avenue Northwest in response to a report of shooting at a smoke shop located in that section of the city.
When the police arrived at the scene, they found two victims who had been shot; one of the victims was an employee who had been shot while working inside the shop, and the second victim was a male who had been shot while standing outside the store. It would appear from the preliminary findings of the investigation that the police performed that a man in his twenties made an attempt to rob the store before shooting an employee in his thirties. This is according to the inquiry that was undertaken by the police. After receiving retaliatory fire from the employee in question, the suspect was hit and injured before fleeing the store after bullets were fired.
Before the authorities arrived, members of the neighborhood helped the worker by placing tourniquets made of their belts to the employee’s neck. These tourniquets were applied before the authorities arrived. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center to be treated for many gunshot wounds, none of which were thought to be life-threatening at the time.
The suspect received medical attention from the police, but it was determined that he could not be saved and he was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime. Homicide detectives from the Seattle Police Department were the first to arrive at the scene, and they are the ones who will be in charge of taking the lead role in investigating this incident.
