Her birth took place in the city of Boston, where she was welcomed into the world by her parents, Carmella and Clido DiLillo, who have both passed away since then. Jan had lived in Weymouth her entire life, and the high school that bears the town’s name was the institution where she received her secondary education. She began her career at Electroswitch as a plating specialist, and after 42 years of service there, she retired as a senior sales representative.
