Don Lawrenceburg Obituary, Death – Captain Don Laws, who just retired from the Lawrenceburg Police Department in Tennessee. The end of the watch will occur on February 17th, 2023. Don was loved and respected by his family as well as his close friends. The better part of 20 years have passed since I first met Don. He was not only a colleague but also a close friend who was always there to back me up in all I did.
You are going to be missed, my friend. Buddy, you may rest easy knowing that we’ll keep an eye on things from up here. He was the son of Walter Richmond and Minnie (Zunker) Richmond and was born in Arlington, Wisconsin on May 15th, 1928. Don Hanson tied the knot with Annabelle Hanson in 1948, and the couple went on to have six children together.
After 30 years of service to Frito-Lay as a salesperson, he took early retirement in the year 1990. He wed Norma Payne on April 27, 2002, at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Helen, his second wife, had passed away a few months prior to their wedding. Don is survived by his wife, Norma; his children Terry (Cindy) Richmond, Gary (Mary) Richmond, David (Mary) Richmond, Cindy (Rodd) Wangen and Dale (JoAnn) Richmond; grandchildren Kevin.
Heidi, Wendy, Eric, Caela, Erin, Scott, Anna, Megan and Lindsey; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother Vernon Richmond; sister-in-law Mary Richmond; and many niece. Don’s first wife, Annabelle (Hanson) Richmond, as well as his second wife, Helen (Pernot) Richmond, son Mark Richmond, great-granddaughter Taylor Richmond, brothers Floyd (Esther), Mervin (Catherine), and Glen Richmond, and sister-in-law Betty Richmond all passed away before him.
